Buy a shorter paddle in your height range if you are a beginner, or you own a smaller playboat or creek boat. Buy a longer paddle in your height range if you run big water a lot, or own a large primary boat. Use paddles over 210 cm for wider sit-on-top river boats and IKs.

Shafts on Werner paddles come in 2 widths. Small to Medium hands should use the small diameter shaft. Medium to Large should use the standard diameter shaft. Small hands with long fingers usually favor the standard shaft. Large hands with stubby fingers usually favor small shafts.
